5 Herbs to Treat Diabetes

Some people do not react to medicine well and most times herbal drinks are better substitutes for the body. Apart from the body rejecting modern medicine, treating diabetes can become very expensive in the long run.

This contains powerful antioxidants that are called anthocyanidins that helps to protect and prevent damage to tiny blood vessels that tend to result in nerve pain and even damage the eye’s retina. Studies has also shown that it may lower blood sugar.

3. Fenugreek3

Another herb that can be used in lowering blood sugar. With each meal intake, you should take 5 to 30 grams with each meal or 15 to 90 grams with a meal per day. They can also be used in cooking, increasing insulin and in reducing cholesterol. This is because the seeds have high fiber content and also has high amino acid that helps to increase insulin in the body that controls the blood sugar level.

4. Ginseng4

This has disease fighting benefits and also helps to slow carbohydrates absorption in the body and also increase insulin production from the pancreas. According to a research done by a team in the university of Toronto, that concluded that ginseng capsules helps lower blood glucose at 15 to 20 percent compared to placebo.

5. Okra 5

This is another known item that helps in reducing one’s blood sugar. This plant can be used in different method, either being boiled, made in a dish that is suitable for lunch and dinner. All you have to do is research ways to put in a meal.
