How to Get Rid Of Age Spots on Face

A person’s appearance keeps on changing as the body gets older. All your body parts, especially your face get affected by aging. Age spots, sometimes referred to as sun or liver spots are among main side effects of aging. These are brown or slightly blackish spots that appear on your skin throughout the body. Yet, the face seems to be more prominently effected by age spots.

Exposure to sunlight is one of the main causes of these skin spots. What happens is that melanocytes located in the bottom layer of our skin start to multiply when extra ultraviolet rays come in contact with the skin causing age spots. The reason these spots are mostly visible on older people’s faces is because our face is most exposed to sun light among all other body parts. These skin irregularities are not of any harm physically but nobody wants nasty looking spots on their face you know. Having these on your face can have negative effects on your confidence levels and self esteem. But you don’t have to worry much about age spots because these remedies will do the job of removing them for you.

First of all, try some useful and easy to make homemade remedies that are known for removing age spots on the face. Wash your face with a good quality face wash and wipe it dry with a tissue or soft towel. Now, apply any of the below mentioned homemade remedies that suit your skin and are easily available at your home. Wash your face with mild or cold water after the recommended time with mild water.

Apply Castor Oil:

Castor oil is very efficient in cleansing your skin because of its cell healing abilities. It is often utilized to treat brown spots in beauty treatments. Put the oil in a ceramic cup and use a cotton ball to slowly apply it on affected areas. Massage the area with your fingers for a few minutes. Let it settle for more than half an hour and then wash off. Doing this twice every day could rid of these spots in less than a month. Other oils like vitamin E oil or olive oil are also effective for this issue.

Use Apple Cider Vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar is used to solve a number of skin issues and it does work quickly. Treating brown spots is one of those issues. It helps in drying out the spots and slowly fading them out. All you have to do is dilute a pint of apple cider vinegar by adding equal amount of water to it. Honey can be added for better results. Apply this with your fingers and try not to press to hard on it. Keep it on for 15 minutes and wash it off afterwards. It is recommended to do this activity once a day but I tried doing it twice and the results were faster and better.

Use Beauty Products:

In case you try different homemade remedies but do not succeed, then consider trying quality products of a few well-and reputed companies that are well known for their best quality beauty products. Trying some average quality products won’t help you and may even damage your skin further. L’Oreal’s “Loreal Dermo-Expertise Age Perfect Skin Illuminator and Age Spot Diffuser” is effective against age spots, and so is Pond’s Clarant B3 cream.
