How to Make a Delicious Homemade Almond Protein Bar


Eating healthy food is a major aspect that one must develop to prevent sickness and to stay fit. Protein bars are low on carbs and yet rich in protein. In this, they will fill your stomach with enough protein for muscle building and still use less carbs so as to be able to burn more calories than you have taken in. So protein bars are very good snacks with enough calories to prevent hunger. If you’ve been looking to have some fun and just make some healthy protein bars you’re in luck. Here is how to go about making a homemade almond crunch protein bar.


The protein bar does not even require just a few ingredients to be able to make it effective. It doesn’t need a large amount of ingredients and within ten minutes, you can be done with making your delicious protein bar. Things you need for this are:

  • 1 third(1/3) of a cup of coconut oil
  • 1 third (1/3) of a cup of smooth peanut/almond butter, unsalted
  • Half (1/2) a cup of almond/rice/soy/hemp milk, unsweetened
  • 1 and half (1+1/2) cups of vanilla plant based protein
  • One third (1/3) cup of almond meal.


1) 2tbsp chocolate chips

2) 1tbpsp coconut oil

3) 3tbsp almonds, coarsely chopped

How it is done

First combine your coconut oil, peanut butter and milk in a medium sized bowl. Then put it in the microwave for 30 second intervals until these melt, all the while stirring in between. Whisk your mixture then add your protein powder and almond meal. Using a spatula mix these until they combine and the dough becomes crumbly. Line 8 times 8 baking dish with a parchment paper and put your crumbly dough in. remember to use the spatula to flatten and level the dough as you put it in your baking bowl

After this put a table spoon of coconut oil and add chocolate chips in a small bowl. Put in the microwave for just 30 seconds until it melts and then stir properly. Pour this over your bars until all the bars are coated evenly with the chocolate.

Finally, toast your almonds until they are light brown. Stir your almonds every five minutes when toasting it to prevent from burning. Sprinkle your toasted almonds on top of the chocolate, then put in the freezer. After it freezes, say 20 minutes later in freezer or an hour in a refrigerator, you can remove. Remove it from the dish using the parchment paper. Now cut into 12 bars and enjoy your delicious protein bar.
