How to Naturally Minimize Large Pores

It can be quite hard dealing with an oily skin and the problem might even get worse if you have large pores on your skin. These pores are clearly visible on your skin and they don’t look good from any angle. If you have large skin pores, they can be really unattractive and account in your self-consciousness. There are many products in the market to shrink these pores but they are either very expensive or might not be as effective as they cost. So, it is better to switch to natural remedies rather than using such chemical-products. Natural remedies are cheap and quite effective for most skin types.

1. Facial cleansing

It very important to cleanse your face to reduce the size of your pores. Regular facial cleansing will prevent the build-up of oil and dirt within the pores and won’t let them expand. You should wash your face at least twice a day, once in the morning and before going to bed.

2. Face wash

To improve your skin’s elasticity, use a face wash with vitamin C or retinol. Dirt and excess oil would be released without any difficulty due to the increased elasticity of your skin.

 3. Exfoliate

Exfoliate by using any exfoliating scrub that suits your skin type after washing your face, in order to remove any leftover debris from the pores.

4. Tomato juice

Tomato juice can help to reduce the pore size. Simply squeeze fresh tomato juice in a small bowl, take out the seeds if any. Soak a cotton ball in it and gently apply the juice to the affected skin. Keep it on for 15 to 20 minutes or till the juice dries completely, and then rinse your face with warm water and pat dry with a soft, clean towel.

5. Buttermilk and salt

Buttermilk and salt treatment can also be used for minimizing large skin pores. Salt, being an excellent exfoliating agent, drags excess oil and dirt from the pores. Whereas, buttermilk helps to rejuvenate the skin and bring more elasticity to the skin.

For making buttermilk and salt paste, add 3 teaspoons of salt into ¼ cup of buttermilk. Mix them and apply onto your skin. Massage the mixture on your face in circular motions and let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse with warm water.
